Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork
At Awender Chiropractic we offer only the highest quality of Therapeutic Massage, Bodywork, and Manual Therapies, provided by a professional clinician. We're confident that you'll be happy with our therapeutic services and guarantee that if your expectations haven't been met or exceeded within the first 30 minutes of therapy; the session will end and you will not be charged.
SERVICES Relaxation Massage: any combination of hands-on methods used to soothe the nerves and calm the body. You have the option of enjoying other comforts, including:
While light in pressure, these techniques also include therapeutic applications highly effective in managing swelling and pain. Unlike deep techniques, the amount of pressure used is often limited to fingertip depth (push your finger onto a hard surface and take note at how much pressure it takes to cause the nail bed to change color), ensuring a pleasantly relaxing experience.
- Aromatherapy
- Soothing music, or silence if you prefer

- Light to Firm tissue mobilization
- Light stretching
- Warmed oil & therapeutic balms
Sports Massage: A systemic application of deep tissue techniques that require some degree of participation. These sessions can be customized to serve Pre- or Post-event needs, as well as speed recovery for maximum performance. Because active stretching is incorporated, athletic wear is highly recommended.
Bodywork and Manual Therapies: These therapeutic techniques focus on resolving, rather than soothing your complaints by means of deep tissue & joint mobilization, often incorporating a higher level of expertise including, but not limited to:
- Physical & Biomechanical assessment
- Neuromuscular manipulation
- Posture conditioning
- Movement repatterning
Manual Therapies are clinical applications that are not so much pleasant as supremely effective at getting the job done. These work wonders for sprain/strain injuries, chronic pain, declining posture, limited range of motion, and impaired mobility. Some may experience soreness similar to exercise aches the following day, which is common. This will resolve with stretching. All attempts are made to ensure your continued comfort by working within your tolerance levels.
Pricing: Reduced rates are extended for patients of Dr. Awender requiring regular access to services (see Fees, column A) to compliment their chiropractic care. If you prefer to utilize only Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork services, you are welcome to do so at the customary rate (column B).
